Tony Gephard, DPIA vice president, organized the first winter event at Desnoyer Park on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Many neighbors stopped by to enjoy conversation, hot chocolate and snacks. We also had a nice fire to keep warm, although with the 40+ degree temperature it was very nice out that day.
The kids did not seem to mind as they played in the snow. A few were able to ice skate earlier in the day. Thanks to Danielle Gephard and Robin Weber for providing the treats. We will be scheduling more of these on up coming weekends. Maybe next time the skating will be better on a colder day.
